Mediation Fees
Note: The rates below are examples. Update with your actual fee structure.

What’s Included
- Pre-mediation review of case materials
- Zoom mediation session
- Preparation of mediation summary or memorandum of agreement (if applicable)
- Follow-up communication as needed
What’s Not Included
- Legal advice or representation (I am a neutral mediator)
- Drafting of court documents (your attorney handles this)
- Court appearances
Payment Policies
How Fees Are Split
- Family Mediation: Parties typically split the fee equally unless otherwise agreed
- Civil Mediation: Fee division is determined by court order or party agreement
- DFS Cases: Fee arrangements follow court guidelines
Payment Methods
- Credit/debit cards
- Bank transfer
- Checks (payable to Ctrl Alt Mediate, Inc.)
Payment Timing
- 50% deposit required at scheduling
- Remaining balance due at the end of the session
- Invoices provided for all payments
Cancellation & Rescheduling
- More than 7 days before session: Full refund of deposit
- 3-7 days before session: 50% of deposit refunded
- Less than 3 days before session: No refund
Rescheduling is allowed once without penalty if requested more than 7 days in advance.
Session Length & Overtime
Most sessions are scheduled for a specific block of time. If parties are making progress and wish to continue beyond the scheduled time, I will accommodate if my schedule allows. Additional time is billed at the hourly rate.
If the session ends before the minimum hours, you are still responsible for the minimum fee.
Travel & Additional Costs
All mediation is conducted via Zoom. There are no travel fees or additional costs for virtual sessions.
Sliding Scale & Pro Bono
I offer a limited number of sliding-scale and pro bono sessions for parties facing financial hardship. Please contact me directly to discuss eligibility.
